Eric Anderson brings an integrated communications approach to solving public relations challenges, drawing from more than 20 years of experience in writing and editing, media relations, campaign development, journalism, digital and social media coordination, marketing and sales management, and video production.
As the Director of Communications for Asbury, a not-for-profit organization focused on providing care and services for older adults, he manages Asbury’s system-wide communications, coordinates public relations initiatives and supports marketing outreach that increases awareness and occupancy for Asbury’s communities, which consistently rank among the nation’s best. Additionally, he provides risk communications support, including media training and speaking preparation, message development and crisis response planning.
Eric holds a bachelor of science degree in English from Frostburg State University, and has won awards for writing, film production, advertising development and campaign management. He earned his master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.
Eric is a board member for the American Red Cross Chesapeake & Potomac Region, and in 2012 was named the Community Coordinator of the Year for his successful blood drive organization. Since 2008, he has also been a member of the Public Relations Society of America. He currently lives in Frederick, Md., with his wife and three daughters, coaches youth and adult athletics, participates in church outreach, and enjoys most pastimes involving the outdoors or the Chesapeake Bay.
